Face to Face Classes

My name is Suzanne and I am a qualified yoga, chair yoga and meditation teacher living in the Southern Highlands. After working in Corporate Safety for 20 years I have changed my life focus, and am working for myself to make a difference to others – it’s a vocation.

I specialise in aged care and disability yoga classes for all levels of ability and flexibility. I run classes in aged care and day placements that are customised to the residents.

The benefits for the residents are enormous

  • Improves health and wellbeing
  • Decreases anxiety
  • Increases strength and mobility
  • Improves balance
  • Makes them (and myself) happy

I primarily focus the classes at three levels:

  1.  Mat yoga adapted to the chair for people with some coordination, strength and flexibility
  2. Classes aimed at the lounge room of a facility usually with all levels of resident where I play music from their era (Doris Day, Frank Sinatra) move and sing
  3. High Care – singing and a little movement generally conducted in the dementia wards

All classes are adapted to the participants present on the day.
